While reading some articles, forums and emails I kept running into the same question… “Where can I bet Superbowl squares online?” We have the answer and lucky for you, one of the best sportsbooks on the web offers this wager. That’s important because you wouldn’t want to send your hard earned loot into cyberspace to somebody that doesn’t have a good track record.
With that being said, you can find Superbowl squares from $3.30 to $275 at MyBookie Sportsbook. This is a GREAT online sportsbook and has a very solid track history and is a company that tops our recommended betting sites list.
For those of you not familiar with how Superbowl squares work, we’ll explain what they are:
Draw a big square on a piece of paper. Now draw 9 lines horizontally and 9 lines vertically. (left to right and top to bottom). This will give you a grid-like box with 100 squares in it. Often times somebody in your office will start one of these and sell spots for anywhere from .25 cents to 1.00. Sometimes more, if you work in an office full of highly paid employees lol. Each person puts their initials in a box. Once you’ve got your 100 squares filled, you will draw numbers from 0-9 and list them across both the top and down the left side. Lastly, you list a team name on the left and the other team on the top.

When playing “squares”, only the digit furthest to the right matters for scoring purposes. Let’s take a look at an example:
So let’s say you have the Kansas City Chiefs on the top and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the left side. Let’s say the final score of the game is Chiefs 33 and Buccaneers 30. You would look at the Chiefs side of the paper which is at the top, then go to the 3 since their last digit is 3. Then you go to the left side and look for the zero. Use your fingers to find where the two coordinates meet and whoever’s name is in that box wins the pot.
There’s other ways to do prizes too. Some office pools use the final score at the end of each quarter and create 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarter smaller prizes with the bigger prize being the final score.
No matter how you decide to run your squares pool, one thing can be said for sure…. It’s exciting as hell because you’re rooting for something with every score.
May your squares all be winners!

Super Bowl Squares is one of the most popular ways to get some real money action on Super Bowl 55. While many choose to place actual wagers using online sportsbooks or land-based casinos, Super Bowl Squares contests offer users a more casual, lottery-like experience. Rather than having to sweat out your decision to wager one way or another, you can win a little extra money while enjoying the game by playing the various Super Bowl Squares contests offered online.
Lots of people play Super Bowl Squares at their Super Bowl parties, of course. However, big Super Bowl parties have been generally discouraged this year. As a result, you may have no choice but to watch the game at home by yourself or with your immediate family. Fortunately, that doesn’t mean you’re out of luck when it comes to playing your favorite party game. There are a number of 2021 Super Bowl betting sites now offering their own real money Squares contests online!
How Does Super Bowl Squares Work?
In case you’re new to the game, the concept is simple. There are a few different variations of Super Bowl Squares, but the concepts between them are essentially the same. The game is played using a grid format, typically a 10 x 10 page. The 10 x 10 format means your game board will include 100 squares, but you can make a few tweaks depending on the number of people that are playing the game.
Assign one of the Super Bowl teams to the columns, and the other to the rows. For example, you could put the Kansas City Chiefs on the X-axis and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beside the Y-axis. Then, invite people to sign up to put their names inside certain squares on the board. Participants can either choose the squares they want, or they can be picked at random. Only one player can occupy one square. The cost per square varies. You can charge each player $1, $5, $10, or $100 per square. If you’re operating the game, it’s up to you.
Below we have included an example of a Super Bowl squares board as well as a link if you would like to print it out to play at home with your friends.
Once the board is full, numbers will then be assigned to each column and row. This is done after the names are submitted in order to ensure a fair experience for everybody. Numbers will be randomly assigned 0-through-9 for each row and column. Each number is supposed to represent the last digit in the score for either Super Bowl team at the end of each of the game’s four quarters.
Winners are rewarded after each quarter depending on the scores in the game. For example, let’s say the Chiefs lead the Buccaneers 7-3 after the first quarter. The person whose name falls under the “7” for the Chiefs and the “3” for the Bucs would be the winner for that quarter. Winners are paid out after each quarter with a certain percentage of the prize pool. The most common way to divvy the pot is to award 20 percent of it to the winner of each of the first three quarters, while the final score winner receives 40 percent.
How To Bet on Super Bowl Squares Online
Most people are doing lots of things virtually these days. Super Bowl Squares is no exception. You can certainly draw up your own game board and invite your friends to participate virtually for Super Bowl 55. Or, if you’re looking for a bigger potential payday, you can also play the game at a variety of our top-ranked Super Bowl betting sites.
Different sites offer different formats of the game with unique buy-ins and prize pools. You will find some sites offering low-dollar contests, while some may be more attractive to high rollers. The game works the same way as it does if you’re playing offline with your friends. You pay an entry fee for the number of squares you want to purchase. The numbers are then assigned randomly, and the site will pay you in real money if you’re among the lucky winners.
Most quality Super Bowl betting sites accept a variety of payment methods. Most may choose to buy their way in using a credit or debit card, but you can also use an alternative method like an e-wallet or cryptocurrency if you so choose. Yes, you can finally put that Bitcoin to good use, as the vast majority of Super Bowl betting sites now accept crypto.
Online Super Bowl Squares Contests
As mentioned, many of the same sites that accept bets on the Super Bowl will also be offering their own versions of Super Bowl Squares that you can play online. MyBookie, BetUS, and Bovada are among the sites offering their own unique contests ahead of Super Bowl 55!
MyBookie
MyBookie has been one of the top-ranked online betting sites targeting American players for years. It’s no surprise that they have also been operating a popular Super Bowl Squares contest for years. As usual, they have stepped things up for this year. For this Super Bowl, they are offering a $15,000 squares contest.
Entry fees begin at $3. All you have to do is select your squares and then submit to complete your entry. You can’t use bonus funds to enter the contest, but the entry fees will be debited from your MyBookie betting balance. All contests will run and offer the full payout even if there are still some empty squares on the board when the game starts.
The rules are the same as the rules mentioned above. Winners will be paid out after each quarter. If the Super Bowl goes to overtime, the final score winner will be paid based on the OT score, not the score after four quarters. Winners after each of the first three quarters take home 20 percent of the prize pool, with the final score winner earning 40 percent!
BetUS
BetUS is another quality NFL betting site allowing you to buy your way into their Squares contest. There is no limit to the number of squares you can purchase in a given game over at BetUS. Numbers will be randomly assigned to each square once the game fills, but the game will still run even if not every square has been purchased.

However, if at least 35 percent of the squares in the game remain unfilled, the site will simply refund your entry fee and the contest will not run.
The payout structure for BetUS’ contest is a bit different. Winners at the end of the first and third quarters will receive 12.5 percent of the pot. The halftime winner receives 25 percent of the prize pool, while the final score winner takes home a whopping 50 percent! There is no limit on the number of times the same square can win over the course of the game, either.
Bovada
Bovada’s Super Bowl Squares contest is a bit different. To gain entry into the competition, Bovada users have to submit a Super Bowl prop bet worth at least $5. Once you have done that, provide the site with the wager reference number by replying to the thread on this page. That will earn you an automatic entry into the Bovada Super Bowl Squares contest. Remember, this only applies to prop bets.
Game bets and other types of wagers won’t get you into the game.
Unlike other contests, users can only submit one entry into Bovada’s game. The game will also be full once Bovada receives 100 submissions, so get your entry in while you still can! Entries will be randomized and placed on a 10 x 10 board. The board will not be visible until the game starts at 6 pm ET on Sunday, February 7.
The prize pool increases with each passing quarter. The first quarter winner receives $100, the second-quarter winner earns $200, the third quarter winner will be awarded $300, and the final score winner will take $400.
